We in the Portland/Vancouver area are fortunate to have Bushwhackers; there are very few country dance halls/bars/restaurants around that can measure up. CMT shot a segment for a reality TV show about dancing there last year. The atmosphere is bright, non-smoky, clean and friendly, and contrary to what "Jeff" posted in an earlier comment, the staff and regular patrons there are polite, respectful and friendly. (I suspect that "Jeff" made an alcohol-fueled a s s of himself during his visit, something which is not tolerated at Bushwhackers. Unruly, obnoxious or rude behavior - although rare in the three years my girlfriend and I have been going there - is quickly dealt with.) The food is great, the service is timely and friendly, and the music and dance scene is even better. The only thing I could knock is the ventilation on busier nights; a little more air movement would be welcome. I hear they are addressing that this summer though. The free dance classes are a lot of fun, and great for beginners. They have a calendar of classes posted on their website, which by the looks of it has recently been re-done. Thursdays (ladies' night) and Saturdays are the busiest nights; Fridays a little less so perhaps but still hoppin'. It's at the top of our list every weekend now!

Under new ownership recently, this dance place offers great lessons all week for free. You can beat the cover charge if you get in before 7pm on Friday and Saturday night. You might might even have a good time if you don't over analyze the crowd the staff. That serve good food and make a decent hard drink. I vote this place over Dukes and others anytime. Just be happy!

Went early for the dance lesson on Sat nite, teacher was great! Have been to Duke's, this crowd is a little older which I like. Great music, great bartender's! We danced so much, would have loved to have a little more a/c but everyone was really nice including a gentlemen who was patient enough to teach us some new partner dances. Definitely going back!

Bushwhackers in Tualatin is the worst bar I have ever been to. PLEASE, do not attend this bar. I have never been more disrespected by the stereotypical staff in my life. They make assumptions about people , and are the rudest people my friends and I have ever come across in 3 years of going out. I will be there boss one day and will inflict revenge. If you're a good looking guy who this lowlife staff is not familiar with do not waste your time at this joke of a bar. I went out of my way to warn anyone so that they are not treated like I was.

For my birthday we all decided to go to Bushwhackers Saloon. We ate great food, had great cocktails, and then we learned to line dance. It was so fun! I will definitely do it again.
